Doornkloof Exploration Update

KELOWNA, BC, Jan 13, 2006 -- TSX.V Symbol (DMR)

In an effort to keep investors updated, Diamcor Mining Inc. wishes to announce that its initial exploration project at Doornkloof has now commenced. As previously announced, MPH Consulting Ltd. of Toronto has been contracted to oversee this initial exploration project for Diamcor’s majority owned subsidiary Ongoza Mining and Exploration (Pty) Ltd.

Preparation work on several key areas previously identified by MPH commenced on schedule at Doornkloof early in the New Year. This work was completed as proposed in conjunction with the use of So Ver machinery and personnel, and these efforts have allowed geologists who arrived on site this week to begin initial recovery and bulk sampling work. Consulting geologist Ian McGeorge, M.Sc. C. Geol, Manager of MPH Consulting Botswana, and Diamcor Mining’s recently added geophysicist, James Hawkins, B.Sc P.Geoph, are presently on site at the property directing efforts on the preliminary trenching work to identify and evaluate any kimberlite deposits at the Doornkloof property.

In addition to these exploration efforts, Diamcor executives will also be arriving in South Africa this weekend and will be meeting with the exploration team to review information on its progress, and the initial results. Along with several planned visits to the exploration project over the next two weeks, Company executives and consultants will visit the Company’s So Ver tailings re-treatment facility to meet with its South African Managers, mine staff, and various trade suppliers. Other meetings aimed at identifying additional growth opportunities for the Company are planned with various associated banking officials, government officials, and with Diamcor’s Black Economic Empowerment executives at Pholo Mining (Pty) Ltd.

“In launching exploration work this past week at Doornkloof, we have met yet another of our stated goals,” says Diamcor President and CEO, Wayne Wolf. “These goals have been achieved through the addition of quality people like Mr. Hawkins, and the continued efforts of both our South African and Canadian executives working in conjunction with our partners and consultants.”

Company executives plan to meet with the exploration team next week, at which time a more comprehensive technical review of the initial exploration project along with any results will be released once approved and reviewed as required.
